Peace Lilly
I dislike the plant commonly known as the Peace Lilly. It's waxy green leaves aren't pretty to me, and it's one petal white flower looks like a snake. I don't think it's a pretty plant and have never understood why they're expensive or why they're sold in the first place.
So Mom received 2 at Dad's funeral. She tried to care for them but didn't want them and didn't need them and kept telling me to take them until I finally did.
I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on pots and soil trying to keep them alive. They didn't like being under my porch so I eventually moved them into house plants.
The description on a website when trying to figure out how often to water read something like, "known as a dramatic plant, will wilt when it needs water and perk back up 2 hours after watering."
