Words Have Meaning

When I've told people, or talked with them about MyJamie's death, I've used words like "I planned to care for him.  I planned to take care of him."

I felt like after saying it that it was too vague, too common a phrase.  A generic thought or dream.

No, I planned to take care of MyJamie.

I long ago set my beneficiary policies to go to MyFella so that without my income he would still have my financial support to take care of OurJamie.

I added a not work related life insurance policy to leave to MyFella.

MyFella and I are active about the portions and funds we put into our retirement accounts to make sure we will have funds to live off of in retirement.   We have savings accounts.

We purchased our home with the very specific idea that the cost, the square footage, the yard were all things that I could take care of without MyFella if he went first and still have a good quality of living with OurJamie.

MyFella long ago set me up as his beneficiary as well.

We made plans to take care of OurJamie and to care for OurJamie.

All just plans now.
